The Quality Control Inspector will inspect completed fabrication projects to ensure quality and conformity to customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities
Perform inspections if necessary for nonconforming receipt inspection.
Inspect Welds for conformity to codes such as D1.1/5
Calibrate inspection equipment and tools.
Perform final inspections.
Measure overall characteristics of a part.
Report inspection results.
Inspect grade, shape, and thickness of incoming material.
Assure specifications of bolts are in accordance with purchase order.
Measure paint thickness levels.
Maintain inspection records.
Identify non-conforming material.
Review incoming consumables and paint are in proper condition.
Confirm proper gages are used to measure weld sizes.
Guarantee calibrated tools are not used during inspection.

Education and Experience
Two years of experience in related field required
Ability to read blueprints is required
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
